Eclipse® twine combines sisal’s degradability and plastic’s durability. Its patented additive acts as a UV stabilizer allowing the twine to retain its full mechanical strength for 10-14 months. At that time, the stabilizer reverses its chemistry and the decomposition process begins.*


Unique features of Eclipse®
photodegradable twine:

  • Combines the benefits of plastic and sisal twines
  • Lasts longer than sisal twine, but unlike plastic twine, will decompose after two years
  • Highly visible color

* Eclipse® twine must be exposed to UV light (sunlight) for approximately 120 days to trigger the decomposition process. Once decomposition begins, it continues in the absence of light.
